The Microchip AT42QT1011 is a capacitive touch controller capable of detecting single key presses. SparkFun has placed the controller on a PCB with the necessary pins and a pad to help you add capacitive touch sensing to your next project. The AT42QT1011 has no “max on” time and the OUT pin will stay high as long as the controller is detecting a touch event on the PCB pad or other user-created touch area.
