The ST VL53L1X is a time of flight sensor using a vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSE), which is a Class 1 IR laser operating at 940 nm. It is capable of detecting objects up to 4 meters away with a resolution down to 1 mm. The sensor communicates over I2C, and we’ve added Qwiic connectors to make prototyping easier.
